In September 1994 we started a weekly DJ night at the L, a bar in Köln-Ehrenfeld. After a few month I started to invite guests and organise nights which concentrated on special musical genres, each special night accompanied by a poster. The idea was to make people play music in public they'd usually play for themselves at home and to invite people who'd usually never mix records. There was an increasing public interest in 'hardly  listened to music', the title of the series, loaned from Roth, Rühm & Wieners' sametitled series of records and concerts. After two years we wanted a change and continued at the Liquid Sky, located more in the centre of Cologne.
